The version of ICE FROM THE SUN screened at both it's private and
public premieres was three minutes longer than the version eventually
released to the public on home video. No entire scenes were cut out.
Only small sections of a few scenes as well as a few lines of dialog
were eliminated. The original longer version of the film, which no
longer exists, also featured a slightly different sound mix than what
was heard on the final released version.
For the Image Entertainment re-release DVD, ICE FROM THE SUN was
remastered for improved picture quality. The audio was also remastered,
correcting audio problems that had existed on the previous VHS and DVD
releases. In this process, the sound mix was altered slightly and minor
editorial changes were made, resulting in a slightly shorter run time (a
few lines of dialog were removed).
