ICE FROM THE SUN was nominated in 12 different categories, making it the most nominated film at the festival.
ICE FROM THE SUN won the following awards:
Best Cinematography (David Berliner)
Best Editing (Eric Stanze)
Best Villain (DJ Vivona as "The Presence")
FILM THREAT
At the end of year 2000, Film Threat, one of the best known on-line
indie film magazines, reported their list of the best "unseen" films of
2000. The report listed a top ten plus six "honorable mentions".
"While other media outlets celebrate the obvious and the overplayed
motion pictures of the past year, Film Threat would like to pay tribute
to the best films which never received a wide release in 2000, and
which, as of this writing, remain fairly unknown to the majority of
audiences."
Included in this list of the best 16 non-mainstream films of 2000 was
ICE FROM THE SUN.
