Review by Thrae Entertainment
ICE FROM THE SUN is a nightmare ride from writer/director Eric Stanze's imagination! Wicked Pixel Cinema presents an artistic journey through chaos that only Stanze could deliver! This is a film to grab late at night and watch in the dark. It is hard edge and experimental, like nothing you've seen before.

With that in mind, it is difficult to describe a plot beyond the premise of Alison's journey through this otherworld dominated by a being known as The Presence. At the start of the movie, Stephen is to pray, on wounded knees, to the being ...and then Stephen's head explodes in a blanket of gore! Then a killer credit sequence erupts on screen! Full of imagery and imagination! Simply amazing work!

ICE is loaded with so much imagery and SOUND that a simple viewing will not do. You have to submerge yourself in it and WATCH and LISTEN. It has an artistic approach that we loved! Perhaps it's the no-holds-barred barrage that Eric Stanze delivers that appeals to us ...or the beautiful experimentation of color and camera. The fact is, the camera is not a spectator, but a participant in the movie. No static, unmoving, boring images here! This movie grabs you and doesn't let go in that respect!

As far as Alison's involvement with The Presence and why she is there, it is best told through watching the movie. She is the only one that can hunt down and kill the being. But the dimension The Presence occupies is his own. Full of insanity and blood and horror and chaos and destruction, one wonders if she'll make it. If she'll accomplish her task. If she'll even survive.

ICE FROM THE SUN is a movie you should watch for the experience and the art. It is not your ordinary narrative movie, but one of visual and editing importance. It stands as a testimony that you can make a non-traditional movie that kicks ass! A movie that doesn't follow the Hollywood formulas or one that relies on hack 'em and slash 'em teen killers. This is a movie that packs a punch in it's own way ...and has made low-budget history.

All we can say is "wow!" Eric Stanze has made a movie unlike anything we have seen... This is an art film in many respects, full of imagination, and also a dark entertaining ride into a sick, twisted realm of disease, torture, and death.

Shot on Super-8 film, transferred and edited by Eric Stanze as well, indicating the level of dedication he has to his craft! We loved his movie SAVAGE HARVEST, but this one is tops! We cannot express how wild this movie is! Kudos to Eric!!! Excellent and insane!

As we watch the film, we cannot help but realize the effort put into this movie by all. No way was making this film easy. Too much work. Too many shots. Simply amazing!

The experimental nature of the imagery dictates that many tests and imaginative camera setups were employed and worked out to get the desired results. You have to check it out. This movie defies to be categorized or classified.

Killer soundtrack! Killer attitude! Killer Movie! Pick it up now and experience one hell of a trip!
